• Mr. L, as one of SA's popular DJs, your music and sets often define the atmosphere of an event. How would you describe your approach to crafting the perfect playlist?

Clint L: The best approach to have is recognizing the role you are required to play, i.e. reading the crowd and the particular set time you're playing & understanding what is expected of you.

• Your performances are often described as having an electrifying and infectious energy. Could you share some techniques that keep the crowd grooving all night?

Clint L: Build your set from start to finish. Before you begin your set, you need to know where you're going to end up. Then, you would predominantly be able to plan accordingly.

• Because ellesse enjoys blending style and music, how would you incorporate the two into your personal style and set?

Clint L: The music I play is timeless, whether it be late 80s/90s or early 00s. The old celebrates memories while the young creates new memories.

• What would you say has influenced you most as a DJ, and how does that affect your sound and style as a DJ?

Clint L: The most significant influence would be the appreciation that many people share for the genre/style of music I play.

• Summer is a playful and upbeat season, often inspiring joy, laughter and fun. How will your 'Sounds of Summer' set tie into the season while capturing the essence of the ellesse brand?

Clint L: The mix I curated is a perfect 'vibe starter' to ease everyone into the festive season. It consists of many classics from different decades to cover the generational ties throughout our culture.
